12 DAYS, 11 NIGHTS EXPLORE UGANDA SAFARI

Day 1: Arrival Entebbe

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and after finalizing the formalities, you shall be welcomed by your guide, who will then drive you to your hotel. Depending on the time you arrive, you could go for an optional sunset cruise on Lake Victoria from Entebbe in the late afternoon by boat out towards the equator line or local islands to view the sun over the horizon or spend an evening in the Entebbe Botanical gardens Stay at: Hotel No.5 or 2 Friends Hotel in Entebbe

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park: STAY AT TWIGA SAFARI LODGE

After breakfast you shall start your tour. Driving through Kampala & Masindi to the legendary. Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s biggest National Park. The Park is renowned for its scenic beauty and the spectacular falls, from which the park derives its name. Murchison Falls has abundant flora and fauna to delight the visitor. From rolling savannah and tall grasslands to thick bush and woodlands, the diversity of this park never ceases to amaze visitors and residents alike. They can be viewed from the top where the Nile River narrows from 50 meters to crash through a 7meter gorge, falling 45 meters to the rocks beneath. Walk to the Top of the falls before check in at the lodge

Day 3: Boat Ride to The Nile Delta, Game Drive and Launch Cruise on The River Nile

After an early breakfast, you will go for a boat ride to the Nile Delta.  Another interesting but more placid activity through the extensive papyrus delta through which the Victoria Nile flows into Lake Albert. Here again there are plenty of animals and birds to see with an excellent chance of seeing the rare Shoe-bill. You will enjoy a bush breakfast and later proceed for a game drive. This is a beautiful drive across savannah, Borassus Palm Forest and grassland down to Lake Albert where the Albert Nile heads north. In the afternoon, go for a boat ride up the Nile, to Murchison falls, whence the park derives its name. Enjoy these spectacular falls. After you will hike to the top of the falls where the Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gap and at the bottom you will see huge Nile Crocodiles basking. STAY AT TWIGA SAFARI LODGE

Day 4: 27th June 2022: Transfer to Kibale National Park (The primate capital of the world)

Today, early morning after breakfast we shall transfer from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale National Park, driving through Kiryanga, Bulindi, Hoima and fort portal where we shall have lunch from. Later in the afternoon arrive at your booked place for check in, relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. STAY AT CHIMPUNDU SAFARI LODGE

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking, Bigodi swamp walk

After breakfast you will go to the briefing point before chimp trek. The experienced ranger guide will take you through the briefing on what to expect and how to go through the forest and code of conduct. After briefing, you will be allowed to start your trek through the tropical rain forest for the ultimate experience to meet man’s closest relatives and on meeting them you will be only allowed with them and enjoy a wonderful forest experience. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. Later after lunch you relax over the pool as you prepare for the transfer the next day. Dinner and Overnight stay at CHIMPUNDU SAFARI LODGE

Day 6: Day at Leisure:/Bigodi Nature Walk:

On this Day after a morning breakfast, you will take on an optional nature walk through Bigodi swamp or choose to stay at the lodge to enjoy the surrounding and the lush green surrounding. Could as well read a book by the pool and a Nile beer could be your perfect accompaniment.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park: & Kazinga Channel Boat ride

On this day early in the morning after breakfast, you shall head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying the captivating natural landscapes along the way. Arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its brilliant game viewing and home to many large mammals. In the afternoon, you shall go for a boat ride on the Kazinga channel which gives gives you chance to explore more wildlife on water like schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and elephants are also seen cooling off their bodies, waterbucks alongside water birds. Accommodation stays: Open

Day 8: Explore Queen Elizabeth:

You will have early morning breakfast and check out of the lodge to go for morning game drive to the southern remote sector of Queen Elizabeth nation park ishasha sector known for its rare tree climbing lions. Your will be likely to meet some wildlife along the way like hippos, hyenas, elephants, leopards, waterbucks and many more. You will reach by midday and relax at the booked hotel and relax until lunch. Immediately after your lunch you will go for another game drive through Katooke gate to look for tree climbing lions. Later return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Accommodation stays: Ishasha Wilderness Lodge.

Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park:

Drive south through the Ishasha area, Spend the journey admiring the spectacular natural landscape. Continue to the Buhoma sector of Bwindi, the iconic national park home to the elusive and endangered mountain gorillas. Arrive at the lodge and relax before your hot lunch, after lunch you will do the Buhoma community walk to have an insight into how the local community members go about their lives. Overnight stay in Bwindi at Buhoma Lodge.

Day 10: Gorilla tracking Experience:

On this day early in the morning after breakfast, you shall be driven to the Visitors’ information centre where you shall meet with the ranger guide for briefing and allocation of the gorilla family to be tracked before setting off for the jungle. There you shall meet with the gentle and yet humble giants. Spending an hour with these creatures is an experience for which many describe as life changing, magical and humbling, there’s no better safari experience like Gorilla tracking. Later at around mid-day, return from Gorilla tracking, relax at the lodge.

Day 11: Batwa Cultural Experience/ Nature Walk:

On this day after a relaxed breakfast, we shall go for Batwa Cultural Experience. Batwa are the indigenous forest people who resided in the Bwindi and Mgahinga rainforests until 1991 when they were evicted from their ancestral lands, for purposes of conservation of Mountain Gorillas, with no compensation Batwa have found it really difficult to cope up and live sustainably in a wage economy society. A visit to the Batwa will be of great importance to their wellbeing and will give us an insight into what life Batwa lived while in the forest. Batwa shall take us into hunting excursion, storytelling, herbal medicinal plants they used to use and believe there is so much we can learn from the Indigenous Batwa have

Day 12: Departure Day:

Today after a relaxed breakfast we shall pack our bags and get ready for a transfer to Kihihi Airstrip for an afternoon flight back to Entebbe to connect with your flights back home.
